This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings.
A flat-screen satellite TV, electric kettle and seating area can be found in all Hótel Laxá rooms. Free toiletries and a hairdryer are provided in the bathrooms.

the staff was very professional and welcoming. The restaurant inside the hotel was exceptional. The room was nice, a luxurious bathroom. the view went out to the hillside. the hotel is very close to the beach, you can walk there easy. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here.

Lovely staff and room. Really liked the touch of putting your name on a list on check-in to have a wake up call when the northern lights were active. Amazing views of the northern lights and very good value for money. Breakfast was lovely, great variety, something for everyone.

Everything was great! The location is perfect to see the northern lights. The restaurant had amazing food. The staff was really kind. We were delighted!

Location was convenient but dining option on menu limited. I was not happy with my tenderloin choice. While asked for medium temperature it seemed more rare to medium rare. A simple soup option would have suited me better. Weather was not ideal (heavy snow) so that impacted overall impression.

We loved the elegant sleekness of the architecture and the decor, the helpful staff, great restaurant food, good breakfasts and most of all the fact that we were alerted to the Aurora!

Great breakfast, friendly staff, really nice view. Totally recommend it.Only thing you should be careful is that If you wanna see the northern lights check If there is a phone in your room otherwise you may miss it.

All the staffs are friendly and very helpful. They have Northern Light wake up call, and we got a door knock at 11pm and voila, a beautiful Northern Light! The hotel is also located in secluded area with minimum outdoor lighting, so perfect for Northern Light sighting and photography! We only need to step out to the side of parking area and have virtually almost 360 degree view of the sky. Dinner was great, ordered the Skyr dessert as recommended by the waiter and it blew our mind! (Sweet sour soft crunchy taste texture combination). Breakfast was excellent and always topped up quicky, even when there are big groups. Staffs are meticulous with cleanliness! Really could not expected more from the staffs 👍👍👍
