Hotels Near Australian International Airshow Avalon Melbourne
The Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition is held every 2 years (or bi-annually) at Avalon Airport around the end of February or early March. Avalon Airport is located between Melbourne and Geelong, just off the Princes Freeway.
Although the Airshow is typically held over a six day period, there are industry only and trade sessions for the first days. The show will be open to the public from Friday 1st March to Sunday 3rd March 2013. Advance tickets are available through major ticketing outlets, or general admission tickets can be purchased at the gates.
Why not spend some time exploring the local area? Geelong is around a 20 minute drive from Avalon Airport and is the gateway to the Great Ocean Road. If you plan to stay in Melbourne you can drive to Avalon Airport, or there will be regular rail and coach services to the venue.
