Great location near the ferry to Oban! Very good breakfasts and the restaurant on the property served amazing food at reasonable prices and their wine list was great, too. Mathew was very knowledgeable about the wines and a terrific host for dinners. The beds were comfortable and really nice bathroom and shower!

The breakfast was great. There were plenty of fruit and cereals options as well as a full cooked breakfasts, plenty of choice.

We loved the views of the sea and peir from the front windows. The period box sash windows all fully restored to modern standards kweping the original designs replicated perfectly. The decor was superb and spotless and when we went down for breakfast. The dining room was beautifully lit and elegant. This really was pleasant and the food quality along with the wonderfully friendky service just made it all the better 😍

Location was very quiet but close enough to walk to the local pub and even the ferry. We had 2 evening meals, and they were both excellent. Breakfasts were very good. Room was very clean and comfortable with a view out to the ferry.

The location and view was superb. The rooms were extremely comfortable and had everything you needed for your stay.The staff were so welcoming and it felt like home from home.The onsite restaurant was unreal. The food was unbelievable. Matthew could not do enough, making the restaurant a relaxed environment. Pauline, the chef was a wizard in the kitchen both evening meals and breakfasts.We will 100% be back to Pennygate lodge and will be recommending this property to anyone we know who will be visiting the island.Angela and Alan

Very comfortable and modern room. Tony is an exceptional host. We got a second duvet on request, there's tea and coffee in the room, the lounge downstairs is very cozy. Spectacular dinner, had the chance to get a spontaneous slot, usually would recommend to book ahead. Matthew, who's in charge with service there (his wife is the chef in the kitchen), was lovely and even helped us to get acquainted with whiskey. Breakfast is also provided by him and his wife and we totally recommend the scottish breakfast. Best Haggis we've ever had!

The breakfast was nice and the staff very friendly. Great parking. Beautiful views from the front of the house but we were overlooking the car park. Beautiful location, lovely room. The shower was powerful which is always good. It is more a walkers destination though.

The service was outstanding - you truly feel like you are genuinely appreciated. The food was amazing and they cater to all your needs and more! You must try the chocolate date cake and the ginger ice cream. The rooms are large, thoughtfully arranged and beautifully decorated. The shower is like a spa. The bed is heavenly and the view of the garden and sea make it even harder for you to leave.
