The STS Leeuwin II is a three-masted barquentine with over 810 square metres of sail and an overall length of 55 metres, with 16 sails and twin diesel engines for close manoeuvrings. The Rottnest Voluntary Guides Association Inc (RVGA) was established in 1986 to promote an increased awareness and appreciation of the natural environment and historical significance of Rottnest Island.

Guides conduct free daily tours covering the History of the Settlement, the Quokka and World War II Guns and Tunnels (fee applies).
