Located within regional Australia's largest art gallery, Ballarat's second Visitor Information Centre is located in the heart of the city, and only a short walk from Ballarat's railway station.


The centre offers comprehensive information on Ballarat's many attractions and accommodation options, along with information on all major town and regions across Victoria. In addition the centre offers internet access, a cafe and gift shop selling quality merchandise, including that made by local artists.

Located in the historic Eureka Stockade Gardens, Ballarat's primary Visitor Information Centre offers detailed information on the full range of Ballarat's attractions and accommodation options, along with information on surrounding regions and Melbourne.


Additional visitor facilities include ample parking, an internet cafe and a gift shop offering maps and a selection of quality, locally-crafted products.

The Beaufort Visitor Information Centre is located close to the Pyrenees Wineries, Mt Cole State Forest, Mt Buangor State Park, Beaufort Lake and Goldfields Recreation Reserve.


Activities in the area include hiking, camping, boating, fishing, golfing, hang gliding, heritage walk, art/antique shopping and more. Events in the surrounding area include Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally, Beaufort Agricultural Show, and Avoca Races.


The Beaufort Visitor Information Centre is open daily and offers internet access in addition to tourist information.

Bendigo Visitor Information & Interpretive Centre is housed in the former historic Post Office, which showcases Victorian architecture at its best. This iconic building was testament to Bendigo s status as the richest City in the world during the 1850 s.


Bendigo Visitor Information and Interpretive Centre provides excellence in Visitor Services, offering a focal point for interpreting the Greater Bendigo Region. Open seven days per week, skilled staff and volunteers deliver information and undertake accommodation, attraction and tour bookings. Everything you need to have an enjoyable stay in Bendigo! Federation Exhibition

A century later, the Making A Nation Federation Exhibition celebrates Bendigo s role in our Federal story and highlights the City s dreams and aspirations beyond 1901. There are many stories told and tales to be unravelled.


This permanent exhibition is housed where you used to buy stamps and post letters; it even features the communications room, where morse coders tapped away. The dots and dashes of Morse Code come alive in this exhibition, with a memorable and interactive display. You can even send your own message a great way to surprise a friend whilst on holidays. Step into Bendigo s past and enjoy our federation experience.

Located in the Castlemaine Market Building (circa 1862), the Castlemaine Visitor Information Centre is a great place to begin your exploration of this diverse region.



The Castlemaine Visitor Information Centre offers all the latest information on attractions, accommodation, tours, and services and is open every day of the year, except Christmas Day. Our friendly staff and volunteers are always more than happy to provide local knowledge, informative brochures and also book accommodation or tours if needed.



Regardless of whether it s your first visit to the region or you are a regular, a visit to the Market Building will be well worth your while. The magnificent nave of the building is used for exhibitions throughout the year. Highlights include "Summer Spirit" and "Winter Spirit" which showcase the latest offerings from our talented local artisans, local community displays and regular exhibitions by the Castlemaine Historical Society.



Our Visitor Centre also showcases the depth of our local talent with a strong emphasis on locally produced merchandise for sale.

The Central Goldfields Visitor Information is to be found in the Maryborough Resource Centre Building Cnr of Nolan & Alma Sts Maryborough also in the building is the Maryborough Library, Community Information Centre & Goldfields On-Line Internet Access.

Heathcote is a small rural township nesteld amidst box ironbark forests, with a strong historical background dating from the 1850's. Heathcote has many physical and social attributes - the climate, the nearby peaceful bush environment and fine wines.


The heritage buildings of fine Victorian architecture, spectacular views, antiques and crafts, galleries, bushwalking, National & State Parks are all within easy reach.


The Visitor Centre provides a friendly atmosphere, bright surroundings with a comprehensive display of surrounding Parks. The Centre has local produce, maps, crafts and gifts available for purchase.


The Centre is located on the Northern Highway in Heathcote with good access and visibilty to all travellers.


Heathcote, although a relatively new wine region, is developing a reputation for producing some of the finest wines in Australia. Its unique cambrian soils produce internationally known fine wines, including Shiraz, Malbec, Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Loddon Tourism Area is situated adjacent to the City of Greater Bendigo and forms part of Tourism Victoria s Goldfields and Murray Outback tourism regions. Covering an area of 6,700 square kilometres, and containing attractions varying from Aboriginal sites to early European settlements, goldfields, lakes, State and National Parks, and nature reserves.


The region is mainly unspoilt and can offer visitors an experience in unhurried holidaying whether this is for an extended stay or a brief visit. Our towns still bear authentic streetscapes from the gold rush era and our State Parks are still in their natural state.


The Loddon Tourism Area can offer a base for visiting large areas of Central and Northern Victoria, and can be easily reached by road from Melbourne, Bendigo or Mildura via the Calder Highway, or from Echuca and the other Murray River towns via the Loddon Valley Highway. The roads within the region are generally quiet and provide easy peaceful driving. Public transport also services most of the towns within the region.

The Maldon Visitor Information Centre is your first port of call to learn more about a town steeped in history. The National Trust declared Maldon Australia's first Notable Town in 1966. Maldon was once among the world's richest quartz reefs, attracting a population which built grand houses and a very busy commercial centre. Today Maldon is a charming mix of contemporary experiences set in an historic streetscape.
