Louisa's Walk is a guided historic journey into the life of convict, Louisa Regan. This is live theatre performed in and around the Female Factory in South Hobart where Louisa was imprisoned.
Louisa's Walk tells her story: an Irish convict, sent to Van Diemen's Land on a seven year sentence, in 1841, for stealing a loaf of bread. You walk with the actors, Judith and Chris Cornish, in full costume, as they tell Louisa's story that starts in the gardens of Cascade Brewery, in South Hobart, along the Hobart Rivulet, the early source of the city's water, to the Female Factory where Louisa was imprisoned.
Louisa's Walk tells her moving story within the Factory's bleak walls. The story ends on a positive note, as you learn of her life after the Factory, her marriage and connection to the historic Cascade Brewery.
Louisa's Walk is a journey of 90 minutes. Umbrellas are provided to protect you from the sun or rain.

The area is only accessible on foot, by boat or by air, and when you fly in you know you are entering an ancient Jurassic world. Southwest National Park is dominated by jagged peaks and densely forested valleys, which open into button grass plains. The area faces the full force of the Roaring Forties, and includes an enormous waterway – Bathurst Harbour, which opens into Port Davey and together they are larger than Sydney Harbour.

Penitentiary Chapel Ghost Tour operates ghost tours of the old Penitentiary Chapel and Criminal Courts, in Hobart.
The Penitentiary Chapel and Criminal Courts is one of Tasmania’s oldest and most historic buildings, started in 1831 to the design of the famous colonial architect John Lee Archer, it was to be a chapel for the adjacent Prisoners Barracks. In 1860, two wings of the buildings were converted for use as criminal courts.

You can choose from a number of itineraries exploring Tasmania’s spectacular wilderness areas—including Tasmania's wilderness World Heritage Areas. Tours include: Mount Wellington, the Freycinet Peninsula, Maria Island, Mount Field National Park, the Western Arthurs, the Tasman Peninsula, the Overland Track, the South Coast Track, the Walls of Jerusalem National Park and Frenchmans Cap peak, in the remote south-west.

Part of The Great Walks of Tasmania, the Maria Island Walk is a four-day guided journey through stunning coastal and mountain landscapes. Explore an island national park that is a Noah’s Ark for Tasmanian wildlife and has fascinating layers of cultural and natural history.
The walk features pristine secluded beaches, elegant tall forests, stunning vistas and many rare and endangered birds. The convict settlement pre-dates Port Arthur and you can explore the ruins from the industrial period of Bernacchi’s era, as well as the natural wonders of the Fossil cliffs and beautiful sandstone sculptures of the Painted Cliffs.
This award-winning walk offers gourmet Tasmanian food and wines; accommodation in private wilderness camps and an authentic colonial experience in the restored, heritage-listed Bernacchi House in Darlington.
The Maria Island Walk provides relaxation with two friendly and knowledgeable guides and a maximum of eight guests per trip. The small groups ensure a balance for both the pleasure of solitude in nature and the companionship of sharing the experience.
Trips depart on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from November to April. Walking times range from two-six hours a day, with optional sidewalks and mountain climbs to the summits of Mt Maria or Bishop and Clerk.

Top Gun Tasmania, near Hobart, offers adventure flights in a high-speed military fast jet. The flights depart from the Top Gun base at Hobart International Airport, a 15-minute drive (17 kilometres) east of the city.
You can choose from a number of half-day flying adventures, including the Top Gun Jet Adventure; Tactical Jet Profile; Low Level Combat Mission and the Ultimate Jet Adventure. With a former military fighter pilot at the controls of your Jet Provost Mk5, you will experience jet fighter aerobatics; bombing attack and missile defence manoeuvres; low altitude, high speed flying; and the intensity of gravity forces as you hit speeds of over 600 kilometres per hour. You will be given a comprehensive safety and mission brief and outfitted in a full military pilot flying suit, helmet, oxygen mask and gloves, before stepping onto the tarmac for the flight of your life.
If slightly slower, classic aerobatics is more your style, you can join a flight aboard the CJ6 Nanchang “War Bird” - an authentic ex-military warplane. The Cirrus SR20, the sports car of small aircraft, is also available for friends and family to watch the top gun flight from the air.

Tours of Richmond offer guided day tours or evening ghost tours of historic Richmond village.
Just 24 kilometres from Hobart, Richmond was established as a convict station and military outpost in the early 19th century. You’ll walk across Australia’s oldest bridge, stand in a solitary cell at the Richmond Gaol, and visit Australia’s oldest Catholic Church while learning about the town’s colourful history.
On the evening ghost tour you’ll hear tales of ghostly happenings from the past to the present.
