The ASICS 2010 Victor Harbor Triathlons and Fun Run-Walk is held every March long weekend catering for every member of the family. There is a calm inland seawater lake for swimming, roads fully closed to motorist for safe cycling and quiet streets lined with spectators cheering all participants. There are four events starting with a fun short triathlon for beginners, Olympic triathlon for the super fit and others looking for a challenge, a five kilometres fun walk just to be in the event finishing with the mini triathlon for children. With ample accommodation, plenty of post race refreshments and over AUD6000.00 in prizes to give away, making this event a must thing to do.

In its 37th year the 2010 event is going to be a hoot and if you are yet to experience the entertainment of Australia's Only Cow Race this is the year to check out what you have been missing out on. This action packed, fun filled family day is being turned up a notch in 2010 in the name of raising money for the community and charity. There will be new sideshows, new stalls, new events and new teams to take on the challenge of riding cows such as 'Splatter', 'Pull the Udder One' and 'Dung Fling' to victory and cash prizes. There are plenty of other crowd participation events for both young and old, so get involved with the fun! You can test your strength and attempt the thong throwing, tug-o-war against a tractor or ride the wobbly cow around an obstacle course. Stay on after the final race and party til the cows come home at the after race concert. Gates for the 2010 Compass Cup open at 11am with the fun kicking off at 1pm. If the weather is a little warm on the day, don't despair the Compass Cup will go on. There will be plenty of shade, sprinklers and water games for the kids. Meadows Four Day Easter Fair

The Meadows Four Day Easter Fair will be held at the Meadows Memorial Hall, in the main street of Meadows. There will be a large treasure market and stalls with a variety of treasures and collectables, local produce and crafts, plants, books, tools, clothing, fleece, cakes and preserves, ceramics, toys, stamps and much more. There will also be animals on display including alpacas, goats, sheep, ponies and rescued native animals. Australian bred roses and other horticultural displays will be featured in the hall. A display of quilts and handicraft will be held on the stage in the main hall throughout the fair. Plenty of good country food at reasonable prices will be available including barbecue, light refreshments, ice-cream, donuts and Devonshire teas. There will be plenty of off-street parking near the hall or at the Meadows oval. Admission is free so bring the family.
NatMeet IX - Mazda MX-5 Clubs of Australia National Meeting

NatMeet is the national gathering of Australian Mazda MX-5 enthusiasts, held in a different State every two years at Easter-time. A ‘sea and vines’ theme has been adopted for NatMeet IX, hosted by the Mazda MX-5 Club of South Australia at McLaren Vale. NatMeet IX is proudly sponsored by Mazda and Onkaparinga Council. The NatMeet program combines motorsport, funkhana, navigation and convoy driving with a concourse d’ elegance and a range of social activities. Interested members of the public and visitors to the region are most welcome to view the following morning program events: Mazda display and MX-5 concourse sponsored by Shannon’s Insurance at McLarens on the Lake on Saturday 3 April 2010. Willunga Hill climb competition (Classic Adelaide Rally stage) at Victor Harbor Road spectator area on Sunday 4 April 2010. Participation in the whole event is restricted to NatMeet registrants (MX-5 Club members).

With two stages, two large dance floors and heaps of vehicles on display. Evening functions and cruises taking place over the weekend. South Australia’s best Rock n Roll and Rock a Billy Bands performing over the weekend, plus possible guest band from interstate will be on show. With over 200 1950’s vehicles expected, including Hot Rods, Classic Cars and Motorbikes it should be a great weekend. Accommodation is booking fast. The market is held on the second and fourth Sunday of the month and every Sunday in January and also on public holidays.

The Victor Harbor Farmers market showcases regional produce from across the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. The market operates every Saturday in Grosvenor Gardens opposite the traffic lights in Victor Harbor. Excess of 20 stalls offer things from pies, dips, chutneys, fish, honey, mushrooms, flower, oysters, wine, biscuits and even locally made ice cream. Entry to the market is free. Visitors to the market can enjoy a great coffee stall and breakfasts made all from regional produce. On special markets, live entertainment will add atmosphere to Grosvenor Gardens. The Willunga Artisans Market arose from the necessity to find a display and sales outlet for quality original art and craft. The first markets have been very successful, and the feedback from locals and visitors has been positive and encouraging. The rapid growth of the artisan community in the area and the excellent market location combine to promise a vibrant future. There are some 20 stall holders who sell a variety of high quality and unique hand made products such as ceramics wood art, photographic art, jewellery, glass art, textile and fibre art, printmaking, acrylic and watercolour arts, paper craft and sculpture. These artisans are all based in the Onkaparinga and Fleurieu regions, in accordance with our aim to support and promote the development of local art. Entry is free of charge and visitors are welcome to meet the makers in a friendly atmosphere. Operates: Second Saturday of every month.
