Eyre Peninsula proudly presents Community Christmas Celebration and Live Re-enactment Nativity Story at the picturesque Yallunda Flat Showground.

See life size backdrops of the city and township of Nazareth. A full cast of street people, dancers, angels and animals. Also picnic tea, food stalls, local entertainment, carol singing and children’s activities.

Gates open at 6pm and the Nativity Story is on at 9pm. Everyone is welcome. Bring your own rug or deck chairs.

The Cummins District Community Bank Air show was first held in April 2008.
The air show provides an opportunity for locals and visitors to witness a spectacular display of flying, aerobatics, skydiving and more. Other entertainment provided includes a model aeroplane demonstration, bouncy castle, helicopter rides, trade displays and craft market. It is fully catered with bar facilities.

The air show is held at the Cummins airstrip. Planes are able to fly in for the weekend and camping facilities and accommodation can be arranged for anyone visiting.

On the Saturday night prior to the air show the hangar is transformed into a dining room for the “Dinner in the Hangar”. This is a fundraiser for the local hospital and tickets will be available approximately a month before the dinner.

Point Boston Peninsula’s Seafood and Wine Festival will be a showcase of the best of Eyre Peninsula food and wine at one of the regions most recent developments. Located at the MBA award-winning Peninsula Club on the foreshore of Boston Bay, there will be seafood stalls set up by local producers, including prawns, oysters and calamari.

Restaurateurs will showcase their restaurants with offerings from their menus. A celebrity chef will be cooking up a storm on the day. Local winemakers will offer tastings from their range, as well as having wines for sale. All to a backdrop of live music.

Other activities include a destination yacht race, tasting competition and ‘meet the producer’ presentations.

The Port Lincoln Tunarama Festival is an annual free entry family based event, held on the attractive shores of Boston Bay. It features the world famous Tuna Toss Championship and many other exciting activities and competitions for the whole family group and the adventurous.

Filled with bustling crowds amongst the amusements and a wide range of stalls, this event is one not to be missed by anyone looking to experience the tastes and sensations of this beautiful part of the world. Free entertainment is a real feature of this event, which manages to bring something new each year, as well as having one of the longest running Charity Quests in the country. A Gala awards Ceremony, spectacular fireworks over the bay, boat building competition, a well attended street procession, sand castle competition, kids Olympics, triathlon, swim thru, arts trail, prawn peeling, search for a singer, beach babes, the list goes on. There is simply so much happening that you'll wonder how the four days have flown past.
