Contemporary Australian composer Brett Dean used the same instrumental combination as Brahms in a very twenty-first century take in his Epitaphs for Viola and String Quartet to create engrossing musical portraits in memory of departed friends. Please note there is a pre-Concert Talk from 6.10pm.

Cheese has been a staple of French cuisine for as long as people can remember. It reflects the regional surrounds or ‘terroirs’ as much as local history and traditions. So if you are a ‘fin gourmet’, or simply crazy about French cheese and wine, take this opportunity to learn about famous cheese and wine producing regions such as Normandie, Vallee de la Loire, Auvergne, lle de France and Bourgogne.
