The High Altitude Rod Run is a distinctive event that attracts hot rodder's and over 50s culture enthusiast to the Toowoomba region each year in March. The event showcases the region to 200 visiting cars. On the Sunday the rodders showcase the vehicles in Margaret Street with a "Show and Shine". This is a showcase of some of the best examples of hot rods from Queensland and interstate with rock and roll dancing with a live band. The event attracts a crowd of up to 1,000 people and is family friendly and totally free.

Adam Harvey live at the Glenmore Tavern!

Adam Harvey is regarded as one of the best singers in the Country Music industry. After five albums and over 200,000 CD'S sold, it would seem that country music fans agree. Adam won his first talent quest at the age of 15 and in 1996, was awarded his first Golden Guitar in Tamworth. Since then he has won seven Golden Guitars at the Country Music Awards of Australia, and countless other awards and accolades. Adventurethon National Challenge is a multi-sport (kayaking, trail run and mountain bike) one day event in Townsville, Qld held on Sunday 1st July 2012. This event will showcase some of the key areas of Townsville to Southern competitors that would normally experience winter conditions. This unique event challenges athletes from all fitness levels as they conquer the journey by kayaking to beautiful Magnetic Island, trail run the rocky Townsville coastline and a mountain bike ride to the Town Common National Park.

The Queensland Air Museum presents the Aero Engine Run Day with a special display of aviation horsepower. The museum will be firing up its collection of historic operational aircraft engines and aircraft. The awesome sight and sound of a 1500 horsepower 14 cylinder radial engine powering up an unforgettable experience and one that you wouldn't want to miss.

The museum's operational engines and aircraft cover a range of engine styles dating from the 1940s. Close inspection of the engines in between the runs is encouraged, when you can meet and talk to the restoration volunteers.

The regular museum display of over 50 aircraft and aviation memorabilia is included in the entry fee. An all day barbecue Sausage Sizzle will be operating with cold drinks, tea and coffee.

Now recognized as an event of events it has grown to become not just one of the largest spending field days on the national circuit but a social event of the year for the surrounding regions. It has created a momentum of its own as it defies challenges such as the drought and subsequent economic conditions and continues to grow, consistently introducing a minimum of 30 - 50 new exhibitor sites annually. The event attracts over 1500 exhibitors and crowds in excess of 28,000 visitors. Some of the events include the Queensland Working Cattle Dog Championships, the Queensland Superior Beef Bull Sale, The Ag-Grow Invitation Horse Sale, the Open and Ringer’s Horsemanship Challenge, the Open Cutting and much more.

Champion Ironman Zane Holmes and Surf Boat Promoter Peter Hickey have created the best junior surf lifesaving challenge for under 10's to under 17's on the event calendar being held annually at Greenmount Beach.

Under the banner of AHM Wave Warriors, Zane and Peter saw a need for less rigid carnivals where the competitors have more fun. The competition is about participation and fun - encouraging our youngest athletes towards a healthy and active lifestyle.

AHM Wave Warriors is a one day event and is an "ocean and beach" spectacular. Junior lifesavers (Nippers) come together from around Australia to push their own limits and beyond in exciting head to head competition. The underlying principle of the event is that all who attend are winners, but those who win are champions!

Airlie Beach Race Week is a colourful sailing regatta which attracts competitors, supporters and spectators from around Australia and overseas to the sailing mecca of the Whitsundays. The event has grown in the past 22 years to become the largest keelboat sailing regatta held on the Queensland mainland coast.

Airlie Beach Race Week is a flagship event of the Whitsunday region, and with Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, showcases one of the world’s greatest sailing playgrounds. Despite the very competitive nature of the racing on the water, the Airlie Beach regatta is particularly popular for its relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. As the humpback whales start their annual migration north from the Antarctica every year so do the keen southern sailors looking for warmer weather and perfect sailing conditions. From May through to September you can find a sailing regatta somewhere off the coast of Queensland where people are enjoying the sport.

The Australian Off Road Championship is one of the only motorsport divisions that allows competitors of all variance to race together; from multi-car million dollar teams to the backyard budget racer. The Albins Off Road Gear Goondiwindi 400 is the 2nd round of the Championship and a round of the Queensland Championship, known Australia wide as the most challenging round of the series due to the unique terrain only Goondiwindi can offer - Melonholes! This alone attracts teams from all corners of the country. One section of the track known as "The Malapunyah Run" is renowned on YouTube as one of the wildest stretches of race track on the planet. There's a sense of mystery around the ancient arts of blacksmithing, wool dyeing and horning, so it's fitting to experience these intriguing old disciplines in a rich historical setting.

Garden Hill's Ancient Arts Revival will be housed in the gallery and museum's spectacular collection of traditional rural sheds, nestled in the Lost World Valley and set against the mountains of the Lamington National Park.

The professionally-led workshops - including blacksmithing: horn and pewter; spinning, dyeing and weaving; bookbinding; whip making; drawing and sandstone sculpture - are an exceptional extended opportunity to explore these old arts.

Several times each year Archer Park hosts a number of community organisations and special activities with a 'gold coin' admission. These Family Fun Days (previously known as Carriage Shade Capers) are normally the last Sunday of alternate months beginning with April.

Spectators and yachties from around the globe sail to Hamilton Island in August for Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, Australia's largest annual offshore keelboat regatta.

Race Week is one of Australia's favourite yachting events and a firm fixture on the international sailing calendar. Competitors, family and friends come together to enjoy the convivial atmosphere and unique camaraderie of the event's on and off-water carnival.

Racing is split into various categories, from Grand Prix class for top-class racers, to IRC Passage class, performance racing and sports boat classes. More recently, the introduction of a Superyacht and SB3 divisions has added yet another dynamic to the event.

The Hamilton Island Yacht Club and marina are home to the regatta during the excitement of Race Week. Join in the festivities and lively calendar of events, including gourmet meals prepared by celebrity chefs, fashion shows, golfing competitions and wine tastings.

The Aussie Nash Hash Brisbane 2013 will be held in the Brisbane city area. May is just ideal for exercising and socialising with old and new friends as it is not too hot and sticky, nor cold and wet. Bedourie finishes the season with a great weekend of outback events at the Bedourie Campdraft, Rodeo and Gymkhana.

There is campdraft and rodeo action all day Saturday. Come along and see some of the outback’s fine horsemanship over two days of events for the whole family. Food and refreshments are available all weekend. Great music and entertainment continues long into the night on Friday and Saturday.

Held in conjunction with the Bedourie Races, the Bedourie Outback Ute and Traveller's Muster is the fourth to be held. Bedourie is the third race meeting of the famed Simpson Desert Racing Carnival providing great outback racing action. Bell Park Markets have over a hundred stalls providing a wide range of new and used goodies. They have all the usual market bargains like fresh produce, plants, preserves, craft, novelty items, art, and woodwork. Come along and browse the assortment of goodies and find something special for people of all ages.

A ghost town comes alive. Betoota Races are a country race meeting which prides itself on being family oriented. The weekend starts with a dance on Friday night and a six race meeting on Saturday. A children’s entertainer keeps the children amused. Also for the children is the hobby horse race. At the end of the days racing an auction is held with proceeds being divided between various charities and the club.

Meals and refreshments start on Friday and go right through until breakfast Sunday. Camping is the only form of accommodation in Betoota (a township with a population of zero!) but there are toilets and hot and cold showers available on course, so grab your swag and come out and enjoy true outback racing at its best.

The Biggenden Show Society Annual Agricultural Show is on again this year in May. There will be plenty of events for all the family over the two day show, including cattle judging, an incredible array of cooking, artwork, crafts and needlework, plus fruit and vegetables on display.

The Blackall Heartland Festival is western Queensland’s premier arts and cultural festival, offering 10 days of entertainment at the home of the Black Stump. Pattern welding is the practice in sword and knife blade making originally used to blend certain qualities of steels to obtain strong but flexible blades. Today it is used more for purely cosmetic reasons. The process can be likened to that of making puff pastry where the metal is folded over and flattened many times.

This two-day course is for blacksmiths who have already completed both Blacksmithing Beginners and Blacksmithing Advanced courses and are looking for the next challenge. This workshop is run by former Australian Champion blacksmith and farrier, Terry Drennan with 40 years experience.

The fire, sparks, heat and noise of blacksmithing has attracted and entranced people for centuries. Join their blacksmithing project and make a beautiful candelabra that would be an admired centrepiece on any table.

After completing the beginner's workshop, you are eligible to participate in the Blacksmithing Workshop - Advanced where you will make a set of fire side tools or barbecue tools. Participants can then go on to more advanced project workshops which include knifemaking, candelabra and mirror stand.

The Brisbane to Keppel Tropical Yacht Race is hosted by Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS) and is the clubs signature offshore event.

The race was launched in 2007 and the inaugural event finished at Great Keppel Island. However this finish line would be short lived with the island closing for major reconstruction and the difficulty in anchoring boats in the shallows around the island.

In 2010 the race attracted high performance yachts Black Jack (Reichel Pugh 66), Wild Oats X (Reichel Pugh 66) and Lahana (98' Maxi). With these key entries, the race is set to become one of the biggest offshore races on the east coast of Australia.

The 348 nautical mile race will start just east of Green Island on Brisbane's beautiful Moreton Bay. The yachts will cruise along the shorelines of the world famous Fraser Island before crossing the Tropic of Capricorn bound for Keppel Bay Marina.

The Annual Doll and Bear Fair which is one of the early events of Bundy in Bloom will be held in early September and it will be bigger and better than the previous year. The event will highlight beautiful handcrafted porcelain, vinyl and cloth dolls as well as a wide selection of bears from both local and intrastate craft people.

There will be trader's tables with a great variety of high quality merchandise available for sale, not only for the novice doll and bear maker but also for anyone who is crafty. Morning and afternoon teas as well as lunch will be available at a reasonable cost, and there will be entertainment by local dancers, Ignite on stage throughout the day, with all proceeds going to the Royal Queensland Bush Children's Health Scheme.

Bundaberg Arts Festival is proud to be involved with showcasing local, regional and rural professional and amateur artists' works during the first week of October. Through the kind sponsorship of local businesses, displays of paintings, pottery, ceramics, quilting and other media arts are displayed for the benefit of the community and visitors alike.

Bundaberg Cricket Association will host the annual Australian Country Cricket Championships, the most prestigious of all non-metropolitan cricket fixtures on the cricket calendar. The participating state teams of country based players from all states, territories and East Asia Pacific will compete over this 12 day period providing a spectacle of high class cricket in two day, 50 over and 20-20 games and at both venues food and drinks will be available. The Championships will conclude with a presentation dinner where the awards will be presented.

The Bundaberg Christian College Sew What's Crafty Expo is on again this year and all stall holders will be back to tempt you with their products. There will be over 50 exhibitors on site exhibiting craft such as Beading, Scrap booking, Woodwork, Soaps, Candles, Glass Blowing and much more.

The Expo will also include craft workshops and demonstrations, Scrap booking and photography competitions and displays which are open to the public, children's workshops which are supervised by members of the Bundaberg Christian College Staff or parents and friends, who all hold Blue Cards. There will also be competitions, plus delicious food and drink which will be available from the Sew What's Crafty Cafe.

The City to Coast Community Bike Ride is not a race but a chance to have a relaxed ride and enjoy the scenery of the coastal area and the sea. The route closely follows the Burnett River before turning inland and continuing through cane and small crop fields, eventually making its way to the Esplanade.

From there the riders will ride alongside the beach for about another five kilometres before reaching the finish line at the southern parklands at Burnett Heads.

When they arrive there will be a free sausage sizzle at South Head Parklands at Burnett Heads for those participating in the ride and the ride should not take longer than two hours to complete. To finish off make sure to stay and have an ice-cream and there will also be a coffee van on-site.

The Bundaberg Gem Fair is held by the Bundaberg Gem and Mineral Society Incorporated and is an annual fund raiser event for the club. This fair is attended by a variety of traders from all around Queensland plus quite a few grey nomads who also enjoy this hobby.

There will be a variety of jewellery, jewellery making supplies and Lapidary equipment for sale, along with a variety of rocks, gems and minerals for anyone who collects these fascinating objects. The club will also display its own members work, and you can buy yourself a lovely gem or some rocks to add to your collection.

Get involved with the Million Paws Walk by enjoying a healthy walk, mingle with other pet owners and just have a great time. Funds raised throughout the day go towards vital services and campaigns undertaken by the RSPCA Queensland. The Million Paws Walk continues to be one of the RSPCA Queensland's most popular outdoor events for animal lovers and their furry friends. Enter fantastic competitions and end the day by relaxing with great entertainment, a variety of food and drink, exhibitor stalls and animal demonstrations.

There will be a vet on hand to answer questions concerning your dog plus dog grooming.

Funds that are raised through walk registrations and online fundraising goes towards vital programs, services and campaigns undertaken by RSPCA Queensland, as well as looking after the animals in their care.

The Bundaberg Police Citizen's Youth Club Markets are full of handicrafts and hand made trinkets. There are stalls that specialise in woodwork, decoupage eggs, cards, fresh fruit and vegetables and plants. These markets are held on the second Sunday of the month and are worth a visit.

The markets start at early and there is a full canteen available on-site for that early breakfast. There is a coffee machine in the Pulse Cafe for a caffeine hit before browsing the numerous stalls. There is a Jumping Castle to keep the children amused while you browse in the air-conditioned hall and a full canteen will be operating.

The Bundaberg Quilters will be celebrating 25 years as a group and this special exhibition will include more than 250 quilts, traditional and contemporary that have not been shown before, a quilt challenge to be voted on by visitors, works by the Textile Art Group as well as market stalls of handmade articles and trader’s stalls. There will be a guest quilter who will demonstrate her work during the exhibition plus demonstrations of traditional and contemporary methods. Light refreshments will be available at a reasonable cost and all the family are invited to come along and enjoy the excellent range of quilts that will be on display.

The Bundaberg Regional Show is on again this year with the usual attractions for all the family. The adults will enjoy watching the dog shows being judged in the main pavilion as well as admiring the many crafts, paintings, fruit and vegetables that are on display. The children have not been forgotten as the sideshow attractions will be there to keep them occupied, and maybe some of the adults will be adventurous and try the rides! This is a great family show and one of the highlights of Bundaberg each year.

The Ring Road Run is an annual event which is scheduled on the Sunday of the Queen’s Birthday weekend. This long weekend provides people all over Australia the opportunity to visit the Bundaberg region and participate in a running event while enjoying the wonderful activities Bundaberg has to offer – visit Mon Repos Conservation Park, taste test at Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, tour the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, learn history at Hinkler Hall of Aviation and the Bundaberg Railway Museum or just enjoy a lazy day at one of the beaches surrounding the coast of Bundaberg.

The Ring Road Run will take advantage of the pristine running foundation along the Bundaberg Ring Road with the start and finish of the race at St Luke’s Anglican School, and you can walk or run - the main idea is to have fun, get some exercise and help raise money for some worthy charities.

The main objectives of Bundaberg Volunteer Marine Rescue Family Fishing Classic are to promote safe boating and sustainable fishing practices, to aid Bundaberg Volunteer Marine Rescue, to promote business in the region, to help everybody have a great weekend of family fun and to encourage juniors as the fishermen and women of the future. All funds raised will go towards Bundaberg Volunteer Marine Rescue and its service to the boating community of Bundaberg and surrounding areas.

If you have never heard bush poetry before, then you are missing out on a fantastic weekend of laughter and sometimes tears, as these masters of spinning a great yarn entertain the audience.

The bush poetry performance competitions commence each day at 0830 and finish at 1630. There is a Walk-Up Poetry concert on the Friday evening and the concert on the Saturday evening will feature three of Australia's best stand-up poetry performers, so make sure to mark this date on the calendar.

The people at MeetnGreet Country (a not for profit organisation) are organising the Bundy Country Music Bash, bringing consumers from all over Australia. The perfect opportunity to showcase vibrant independent country music performers, there will be a party atmosphere with market stalls and family entertainment. These performers are the future of Australian country music and deserve to be heard.

Bundy's Aussie Country Muster is on again this year with a whole week of live Country Music, family entertainment at its best. There will be concerts by local artists, bands and invited professional guest artists featuring daily walk up entertainment with Rocket and Ally. An old time dance will be held on Wednesday night and a Variety Concert by selected guest artists on Thursday and Friday nights.

On Sunday morning enjoy Bush poetry by leading professionals and walk up poets at Poet's Breakfast followed by Gospel Hour. Bring the camping gear along as there are great facilities at the site and it is close to a major shopping complex. There will be tea, coffee, soft drinks, snacks and some meals will be available also make sure to bring a chair or rug for comfort. Please be aware that this event will be a glass free area.
