Come and enjoy the many different types of art work produced by local and interstate artists at the 11th Annual Corowa Federation Art and Photographic Competition Exhibition. Some of the paintings are for sale after the exhibition. There are various categories for Art and Photography with prize money of AUD$7,000.00.

Entries will be taken until November 2009 and entry forms will be available online or can be posted from late August 2009. If you would like to be placed on the mailing list please contact them by phone.

The 31st Annual GPA Swim-In and Military Vehicle Rally is this year celebrating the Year of the Jeep.

Saturday 13 March is the main day for tracked vehicle activities, the itinerary is as follows: 9am drive to a photo shoot at Corowa Airport. The vehicles will proceed from Ball Park Caravan Park along Sanger Street and out to the Airport. 9.45am swap meet organized by the Corowa Rotary Club at Corowa Airport. 7pm auction and presentations at Ball Park Caravan Park. All Day there will be tracked vehicle activities throughout the day.

The Corowa Easter Lawn Tennis Tournament is a tennis tournament with Singles, Doubles and Mixed Events over four days. Categories include juniors to seniors, open, A, B and C grades and age events.

There is a canteen running all days selling cold drinks, tea and coffee, afternoon tea and a barbecue. There is strictly no BYO to this event.

Come along and watch the tennis with free viewing for people not playing in the tournament.

Welcome to the Albury Racing Club. The Albury Racing Club conducts sixteen thoroughbred race meetings each year with the feature being the Albury Gold Cup run in March. For further information on the event, please view our website.

Well known local and interstate artists appear at this great traditional jazz festival, held in the relaxed comfortable surrounds of the Barham Services Club.


One of the few festivals around that has a spacious dance floor, with all bands performing under the one roof. Full catering and bar facilities are also provided.


The festival also incorporates a Gala Night, Play in the Park, Jazz Breakfast and a Jazz Mass for all denominations at the local Anglican Church.

Barham & Koondrook PA & H Show is an annual event and a great family day out.




Great entertainment on stage Friday evening, culminating with a spectacular fireworks display from 9pm.





A full program of entertainment and attractions continues on Saturday including 3 rings of horse events.

The annual Border Flywheelers Club Vintage Rally is held under the gum trees along the banks of the Murray River. Exhibitions from New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia exhibit regularly at the event. A range of displays including working stationery engines, steam engines, old tractors, vintage cars, motorbikes and trucks plus displays from yesteryear. Refreshments are available on site.

Many regional star parties are now held annually and form an important part of the astronomical calendar. The ideal location for the event is a dark sky away from light pollution. Amateur astronomers and interested members of the public gather together to discuss astronomy, compare equipment, techniques and enjoy dark sky observing and astrophotography. Star Parties may be one or two night events with larger events that can last up to a week or longer and attract hundreds or even thousands of participants.


The Border Stargaze Information Pack contains the latest information about the event including location, how to get there, contact details, policies, what should you bring and things to know. More information such as the event program, registrations and speaker profiles will be posted or added to the information pack over the course of the next few months.

From the creators of other highly successful events like the SpringNats event held in Shepparton and Autofest in Murray Bridge, this is the second year running for the Corowa AutoFest and it's just getting stronger and stronger.

SpringNats and Autofest events promote a true family atmosphere where spectators are able to enjoy the enthusiasm and excitement of a motor vehicle event in a friendly and safe environment. AutoFest is the promotion of a performance car festival that provides the true motor vehicle enthusiast with the opportunity to display their skills and vehicles against other enthusiasts in a safe, controlled and friendly environment.

It’s about admiring the best cars in the land, whilst witnessing some of the most powerful cars compete side by side in events such as Go-To-Whoa, Motokana, Show ‘N’ Shine, Drag Racing Competition, Dyno Challenge and the fiercely competitive Burnout Title.

This is a strictly alcohol free family event!

Brought to you by the Federation Festival Committee, the carnival will start on Thursday 31 December and finish on Saturday 2 January with fireworks and partying to bring in the New Year all held on the Banks of the Murray River at Rowers Park Corowa.

John Foord Bridge will be closed from 7pm New Years Eve to 6am.

Come along and join in the fun at the Corowa Easter Golf Tournament, it is a great day out for everyone. Held annually at the Corowa Golf Resort, the Corowa Easter Golf Tournament sees the best golfers from the area come and show off their skills in this three day golf tournament.

National Federation Festival is a celebration of Corowa's involvement in the Federation of Australia, lots of family fun for the whole family.

Friday night sees entertainment, Gardiners Sideshow/Rides, barbecue, Hot Rod Show and Shine, bands from 4.30 till late and a fireworks display after dark at Bangerang Park.

Saturday sees the barbecue continue from noon at Bangerang Park along with Gardiners Sideshow and Rides, bands playing on the mound throughout the day along with a Vintage Tractor Pull. A live band will play from 7.30 on the mound followed by a fireworks display after dark. Saturday night the Corowa Federation B and S Ball takes place at the Corowa Cougars Rugby League Football Grounds at the Aerodrome Redlands Road Corowa.

Sunday has the grand parade taking place down the main street to Bangarang Parek where there will be live music on the mound, kid's entertainment, market stalls and food stalls.

On the Labour Day Long Weekend every year, the town of Corowa in Southern New South Wales comes alive to the sounds of music and dance.

A festival that is truly quintessentially Australian!

A Freestyle Expo like no other.

The event will have Freestyle Motocross, BMX, water skiing includes barefoot, slalom, freestyle jumping and even Sampson the monster truck. A two day event beginning on Friday night at the Mulwala Water Ski Club and Saturday at the Mulwala Water Ski Park, this is a family event that is definitely not to be missed. You will not be disappointed!

The event commemorates the Ned Kelly Gang's raid on Jerilderie in 1879. Program includes re-enactments, street parade, colonial market, gala dinner, museum display, bus tours of Kelly related sites, family night, poets' breakfast and more. Now a biennial event, the Jerilderie Letter Event Committee is planning to recognise Jerilderie's link with history with an event.

The Jerilderie Letter Event is set to introduce a national song-writing competition, ANKSA or The Australian Ned Kelly Song Awards, which will invite song-writers Australia wide to pen a song in any style of music about the famous bushranger.

Ten finalists will then be selected in January, and invited to perform at the Jerilderie Letter Event on the 6 February, with the winner announced at the event by their celebrity guest judge, ABC Radio's James Valentine.

Some of the biggest names in Australian Country Music will perform on the 12th, 13th and 14th of February 2010 at the inaugural Kinross Country Muster, which will be held at the Kinross Woolshed Hotel on the outskirts of Albury.


Thousands of music fans are expected to converge on Albury-Wodonga for this three-day country music muster which organisers hope will eventually rival the success of the Wangaratta Jazz Festival.

After the successful year had last year, the Lions Club of Howlong Mutts in May will be going again this year. The main street of Howlong will be closed for the activities which include market stalls, entertainment, displays and other doggie activities.

Events on the day include Brute to Ute dog race, crowning of the 2010 Howlong Hownd, Lap Dash for smaller dogs and a canine catwalk fashion parade for dogs and owners.

The annual Mathoura Fishing Classic is held at Picnic Point on one of the best stretches of the Murray River. The purpose of the Mathoura Fishing Classic is to raise funds to re-stock the rivers with native fish, while also providing entrants with the opportunity to experience a great family event in a fantastic location.

The superb location of this event allows all entrants to camp in close proximity to the main area, providing easy access for meals, fishing results and entertainment. Full catering is available along with bar facilities, on-site camping and Saturday night live entertainment for the whole family.

Rutherglen will once again be the place to be on the June long weekend for the annual Rutherglen Winery Walkabout. Rutherglen Winery Walkabout now attracts over 20,000 visitors and boasts three Tourism Awards and was also named "Best Festival in Australia".

Armed with their Walkabout glass and passport, the young, old and in-between descend on the wineries for a spectacle not to be missed

An array of entertainment and activities are happening throughout the weekend. You'll find each of the wineries is offering something different from reserve tastings of rare vintages, to live bands, produce markets, unique breakfasts or special dinners.

Sunday sees the main street of Rutherglen come to life with market stalls and live music to entertain.

This year’s Line Dancing Fun Weekend sees an attempt to create the longest line of Line Dancers along the Murray record in the Car park at the Corowa RSL Club where this year’s event is to be held. This is the second year the event will be running and after last year’s weekend you won’t be disappointed.
