Temora came into being as a town during the 1880 gold rush, but had been taken up as pastoral holdings forty years earlier.The sheep station bearing the name of Temora, and the area on which the town was established, was taken up by Mr J.B Macansh in 1847.

As gold mining declined in the 1880's and 90's the town quickly developed as an agriculture and pastoral centre. With the coming of the railway in 1893, development became more intense and a more substanial and permanent style of building began to emerge. Many of these were of Edwardian character with a flow onto the Federation era of the early 1900's. It is these buildings, that make the Stroll around Temora streets in central business area so very interesting.

1500 acre fully working cattle and irrigation farm on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Sit back and relax as you are taken around the farm in a horse drawn cart, while shown exotic animals such as the American Bison and the Indian Black Buck. You will also learn more about irrigation practices and layouts. You will witness the mighty size of the River Red Gums and their native residence as you travel into the brilliant River Red Gum Forest, where there has been over 20 species of birds sighted including the majestic Wedge-Tail Eagle.

A beautiful historical home named "Yo Merry", is the site of Antique Corner and Objects D'art. Delightfully restored and set in a spacious garden area.
This attraction is ideal for both history lovers and antique enthusiasts. Antique corner is well known for its fine and quality antiques, original oil paintings and objects d'art. Visitors are most welcome.

Baratto Wines is situated outside the farming village of Hanwood just three kilometres south of Griffith.

The tranquil cellar door overlooks the forty acre family vineyard which is not sprayed with pesticides and is the sole source of grapes used for their wines.

From a bird’s eye view of the region surrounding Beelgara, a patchwork of vineyards and farm-lets are interconnected by endless canal systems that are truly the lifeblood of the area. Originally built and owned by Italian migrants, the Beelgara winery combines 75 years of winemaking craftsmanship with a modern focus and traditional sentiment.

The juice factory is one of the largest fruit juice processors in NSW, and processes over 60,000 tonnes of prime citrus fruit annually.

The initial operation began in 1973 as Leeton Citrus Juices Limited. A group of eight citrus growing families, unable to successfully market their fruit, established a small juicing operation at Leeton.

Blending farmer initiative, enterprise and courage with an insistence on quality and high standards, Quelch, a name now famous as a premium fruit juice, was introduced.

The introduction of sophisticated hi-tech equipment and continual upgrading of factory facilities have maintained efficiencies and product quality. Traditionally oranges have been the major fruit processed with smaller volumes of grapefruit, lemons and more recently apples. Today, apple and apple variants such as apple/mango and apple/passionfruit are becoming a significant part of the range of Berri products.

Bruno & Mary Bertoldo founded Bertoldo's Bakery; a family owned and operated business in 1952. They produce a world premium 'nougat', which is sold in Australia and overseas (including Indonesia, Vietnam & New Zealand).

The finest quality ingredients are used (majority sourced from the region) to produce their six varieties including: the original, cherry, chocolate, macadamia, apricot and deluxe.

Berton Vineyards is a locally owned winery producing quality wines.

It is a contemporary winery with an emphasis on all that is casual, friendly and approachable in wine. With the combination of modern technology and techniques of years gone by, Berton Vineyards is quietly making its mark on the wine world.

Wines are available from the cellar door for tastings and sales.

An engineering feat constructed in the 1940s to allow rail engines to negotiate the steep slope. The Bethungra Spiral on the Sydney to Melbourne line, goes through two tunnels and over the top of the hill, through a big cutting at the spur.

This is the only example of a 360 degree spiral in Australia.

To get there, drive through Bethungra township on the road to Cootamundra. About five minutes out of Bethungra look for the three tiers of railway line on the right hand side of the road. On the right is a dirt road, follow the dirt road to the car park with the gate, park and then walk to the railway.

The Big Guitar is located in Narrandera and is on display at the Narrandera Visitor Information Centre.

The Big Guitar measures 5.820 metres by 2.019 metres and has its place in the 1991 edition of the Guiness Book of Records as the 'Worlds Largest Playable Guitar'.

Made by a member of the Narrandera Country Music Association Mr Robert Palmer; as a tribute to their interest in country music and as a focus for their association.

Bishop's Lodge is a remarkable iron building, constructed in 1888 as home of the first Anglican Bishop of the Riverina. It features unique architecture, reflecting the climatic conditions of the Riverina, including corrugated iron on the outside and saw dust for insulation. There are also attractive gardens in the grounds, including an acclaimed collection of heritage roses.

Morning and afternoon teas and light lunches can be served to groups, by appointment.

Convention facilities are also available, including a commercial kitchen.

Located at the base of Willans Hill, the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens are set over eight hectares.

A discovery centre, mini zoo, children's playground, free flight aviary and rainforest section are open to visitors. Other attractions include a Tree Chapel, Chinese Garden, Camellia and Cactus Gardens and Miniature Railway.

The Miniature Railway operates the first and third Sunday of each month. The track runs through woodlands, a tunnel and over a bridge. Train rides operate between 10.30am and 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.00pm on the first and third Sunday of each month. Covered footwear is essential to ride the trains.

A kiosk and the Garden Court Restaurant are open for snacks and meals. The Garden Court Restaurant can cater for conferences and can be hired throughout the year. Covered electric barbecues are also available.

The Discovery Centre is open daily from 11am to 3pm during school holidays; and from 11am to 3pm from Thursday to Sunday all other times.

The track consists of three loops – the short loop (three kilometres), Lake Talbot loop (7 kilometres) and the Murrumbidgee loop (11 kilometres) and follows a scenic route around Lake Talbot and the majestic Murrumbidgee River.

The track was designed to take advantage of the natural features such as rocky hills, gullies, high river banks, sandy beaches, irrigation channels and in some cases rough vehicular tracks. The round journey is 11 kilometres long and takes about four hours to complete. The track passes across the top end of our local koala regeneration reserve on the river.

Cafe G is a restaurant/ cafe. Specialising in gourmet sandwiches, toasted focaccia's, Byron Bay Coffee and great cakes and slices. Gluten free bread and low fat cakes and slices are available.

Situated in the Riverina region of NSW, Casella Wines produce a wide range of varietal wines made from grapes grown in many diverse regions in South Eastern Australia. Casella pride themselves on producing wines that reflect vintage, variety and regionality.

The winery at Casella is one of the largest in Australia. Recent developments have seen the installation of five new presses, three centrifuges and over 60 million litres of storage capacity. The winery is now capable of crushing 120,000 tonnes of grapes during one vintage. This is backed up by three bottling lines capable of a combined output of over 30,000 bottles per hour, and with two more lines planned, the winery will be capable of bottling over 65,000 bottles per hour. Our people are the key that makes all of this happen and with continued growth staff numbers now exceed 320 within the winery alone.

Sharon will drive you in dry weather, around their farm in air-conditioned comfort and you can see the many different fruits and nuts that they grow.

Established in 1977, the Charles Sturt Winery is a producer of premium varietal table wines. It is an integral part of Australia's leading wine science school and as such is at the forefront of viticulture practices and wine making techniques.

The winery focuses on excellence, using state of the art technology without sacrificing tradition.

Wines from Charles Sturt University Winery since its establishment in 1977 have been awarded 23 trophies, 84 gold, 164 silver and 394 bronze medals in national wine shows.

The winery Cellar Door is open for tastings and sales seven days a week and also provides tasting and sales of the Universitys range of farmhouse cheeses made with Australian Native flavours. The Cellar Door also sells the University's Olive Oil.

Hay has strong associations with the famous Cobb & Co coach company.

The firm of Cobb & Co was started in Victoria by a partnership of four Americans, at the head of which was Freeman Cobb. It was sold in 1856, and then in 1861 was taken over again by another syndicate, headed by American James Rutherford.

At first the coaches were imported, but factories were started in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. Under the management of Rutherford, the Cobb & Co Empire spread in all directions.

In June 1862 they moved to Hay, with an impressive cavalcade which included 10 coaches, two feed wagons, 20 drivers, 103 horses, with cooks and ostlers, all preceded by a brass band. Hay became the headquarters of Cobb's Southern operation, the Victorian and Riverina network, and the coach factory was set up in Hay, where it operated for about 35 years. James Rutherford died in 1911, but Cobb & Co's coaches still carried in the mail in some parts of Queensland well into the 1920's.

The Cobb and Co coach is one of Hay's most treasured objects.

Cocoparra National Park is situated on 8,358 hectares. Located 603 Kilometres south-west of Sydney and 25 kilometres north-east of Griffith. Cocoparra offers a rate chance to see original Riverina forests with wattles, orchids and tough-as-nails ironbarks. Beautiful flowers in the springtime, bushwalking, bush camping, picnicking and photography. After very heavy rains the creeks flow, waterfalls leap into life and the land is bright with wildflowers.

Pit toilets and barbecue facilities. No permanent water. Fireplaces are provided but visitors are asked to bring their own firewood. Electric barbecues are available at Canyon Creek picnic area. Car based and caravan camping is available at Woolshed Flat.

Cootamundra Art - FX gallery, visiting exhibitions from time to time and coffee shop are situated at the corner of the Olympic Way Cootamundra.

The Arts Centre is run by the CCACC committee. The enthusiasm and energy of these volunteers has made a significant contribution; ranging from providing labour for the renovation of the building, through to administration, fundraising, ticketing, grants applications and catering. It is a venue run by the community for the community.

The Arts Centre has ongoing support from The Cootamundra Shire Council and has received a number of state and federal arts grants to complete various sections of the project. These grants have been made on a dollar for dollar fundraising basis. Patrons large and small have helped the Arts Centre on its way, from local tradespeople discounting their work, to local businesses selling tickets for events. This project demonstrates the creative and resourceful nature of the Cootamundra community. The CCACC committee organises regular fundraising activities throughout the year and meets on the second Thursday of each month.

Enjoy a round of golf at the oldest country golf club in New South Wales, with spetacular views over Cootamundra.

De Bortoli is world famous for their magnificent sauternes. De Bortoli also boast one of the largest ranges of local, Australian and imported wines in a spacious, well appointed salesroom.

The Dunera Memorial was raised to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the arrival of European internees, known as "The Dunera Boys". The internees -
German and Austrian nationals had escaped from Nazi persecution to Great Britain. Many were young men studying in England. They were interned and transported on "H.M.T. Dunera", arriving at Darling Harbour and placed on trains then sent to Hay. During their 9 months in Hay they set up a university, a symphony orchestra and printed their own currency. After 9 months they moved to Tatura and eventually released.

The memorial was constructed to mark their return to Hay (many from overseas) in September 1990.

Located in two train carriages on the Hay Railway Station platform, the Dunera Museum - Hay Internment and POW Camps Interpretive Centre houses exhibits that document the history of the three Internment and POW Camps sited at Hay during WWII.

The exhibit shows details of the 'Dunera Boys' who were mainly German and Austrian POWs who became famous after their voyage to Australia on the vessel 'Dunera'. Two other camps were also situated at Hay. These held Japanese POWs transferred to Hay after the Cowra Breakout, Japanese internees from Northern Australia and Italian POWs.

Truly an insight into a little known aspect of Hay's history. The carriages tell the fascinating story of the internees and the soldiers that guarded them. There is also a collection of objects recovered from the camps, including photographs, paintings and sculptures made by the internees themselves.

Eunonyhareenyha Wines was established in 1998 with Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo grape varieties.

The winery is located just 8.5 kilometres north-east of Wagga Wagga in the beautiful and tranquil Eunonyhareenyha Valley.

The boutique winery is family owned and run, the wine is made using 'small-lot' methods and is not blended.

Fivebough and Tuckerbil Wetlands are located near Leeton in the Riverina region of New South Wales. Fivebough Swamp is two kilometres north-east of Leeton, and Tuckerbil Swamp is approximately 12 kilometres north-west of Leeton.

The wetlands have five kilometres of walking trails and three kilometres of all weather trails with viewing mounds and a bird hide placed along the trails to provide ease of observation for bird watchers.

The wetlands contain a habitat of exceptional quality for water birds, particularly waders. Around 174 different species of bird have been observed at Fivebough to date.

Dr Charles Louis Gabriel was an eminent Edinburgh trained physician and surgeon in Gundagai from 1887 to 1927 and photography was his hobby.

In the early 1950's, 450 negatives on glass plates together with Dr. Gabriel's library of medical instruments and personal possessions were found. In 1956 the negatives were used in a book, Gundagai-Its History Verse and Song.

The negatives were donated to the National Library and they printed a book called the Gundagai Album, which featured photos of life in Gundagai around the turn of the 20th century.

Other articles on display include; superb historical transparencies and some of Henry Lawson's original letters and possessions, such as his walking stick and dictionary.

Gogeldrie Weir is a major irrigation structure on the Murrumbidgee River and is the principal water diversion point for the Coleambally irrigation area, as well as providing supplementary supplies of water to the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Areas.

The grounds of Gogeldrie Weir are an ideal picnic area for families with fantastic barbecue facilities, toilets, showers and fully stocked kiosk.

Bidgee Kayak Hire is now operating from Gogeldrie Weir.

At the Gourmet Soap Kitchen they use the best ingredients sourced directly from local farmers. Their products are made at their showroom and workshop and you may have the opportunity to watch them make their products. Their product range includes soap, shampoo, moisturisers, masks, lip balms, bath bombs, scrubs, candles and much more.

Group and party bookings are most welcome.

Griffith Cottage Gallery features local and imported paintings, pottery and handicrafts and is set in a uniquely quaint old-fashioned Tudor styled building.

Exhibitions displayed at various times of the year.

Griffith's Italian heritage is immortalised in the Griffith Italian Museum, which is located within the Pioneer Park Museum grounds.

A variety of artifacts from pioneering Italian families is on display. The Museum is also used as a venue for courses such as needlework and Italian language classes and serves as a function centre.

Owned by locals the Cassidy family, this wonderful coffee/cafe shop provides filling meals across of wide range of dishes. Halls Coffee Cottage in Narrandera offer beautiful lunches and are available for night functions by booking request.

The Hankinson Fountain, located in the Narrandera Memorial Gardens, is a ceramic fountain made by Royal Doulton. There are only two of these fountains known to be in existence, the other one being in Pakistan.

A diverse collection of artefacts showcasing the history of Hay is displayed in the buildings and ground of the old Hay Gaol. The complex has had many uses since it was built in 1878: gaol, maternity hospital, lock hospital for the insane, Prisoner of War detention centre, Institute for Girls and now museum.

Exhibits include patchwork made by local quilter Marion Gibson, beer pumps used in Hay’s hotels, a Chinese rice grinding stone, and the original Hay Hospital operating table.

The Apex Park in the Gaol grounds is a great place for a picnic, and it has play equipment for the kids too. The Gaol Museum is the hub of Hay’s stirring Australia Day celebrations, which are held in the Gaol grounds including a hearty breakfast, flag raising ceremony and presentation of the town's citizenship awards.

The Hay Heritage Walk is situated in a one block precinct of the Hay Visitor's Centre in Moppett Street, call in for a map of the walk and details.

Within that area there are twenty historical sites of significance, many of which are National Trust listed. The walk offers some fine opportunities for photography and is highly recommended for anyone with an interest in architecture or history.

The Hay Nature Walk runs along the northern side of the Murrumbidgee River. Picnic areas are located along the walking track to allow people to sit and enjoy the tranquillity of the river, to have a picnic, or to simply take a rest.

Passing through areas of native bushland allows you the opportunity to
experience the natural beauty of the area.

Housed in two railway carriages, the museum tells the story of the camps in Hay where the 'Dunera boys', and Japanese and Italian prisoners of war, were held during World War II. Photographs, exhibits and music bring the experiences of the townsfolk and the internees to life. The Interpretive Centre exhibits are displayed in two restored train carriages at the Hay Railway Station.

The Hay Sunset Viewing Area is a must for the artist, photographer or those who have never seen a real sunset. Unhindered by tall buildings or smog, the traveller can delight in the magnificence of the sun going down. The full spectrum of colours is present as the sun sets over the plains.

When the sun is set the visitor can linger a little longer to see a real night sky. Without the illumination of the big city, the sky is very black and the stars seem to hang so close because it is so clear.

The sunset viewing area has been developed 16km north of Hay on the Cobb Highway to enable visitors to experience this wonderful phenomenon, rarely seen by the city dweller.

The Hay War Memorial High School was opened in 1923 in honour of the Hay and district volunteers who lost their lives on active service during Word War I. Of the 641 men who served in WWI, 103 did not return. This impacted greatly on the Hay and district community, who had one of the largest enlistment rates for a small town in Australia.

Honour rolls hang in the High School hall and flank the entrance to the school. The large numbers of names on these honour rolls represent the extraordinary commitment made by this district to the Great War. The Hay War Memorial High School Museum helps tell the individual stories behind these names.

The museum's collection preserves the medals, photographs, uniforms, letters and diaries of local servicemen.

The Hay Weir (Also known as Johnston Park) is located approximately 15km from Hay on the Maude Road. Facilities available include BBQ, picnic area and toilets. The Hay Weir is also an extremely popular fishing spot, where fisherman have been known to catch Murray Cod up to 70 pounds in weight!

Hermits Cave is situated to the left and down a path below the Sir Dudley de
Chair's Lookout. The cave was once the home of Valerio Riccett, a miner from
Broken Hill. After being jilted, he left Broken Hill and lived the life of a
hermit in his cave on Scenic Hill.

During World War II, he was interned and after his release he returned to the
cave. He became very ill and sought refuge from one of the local doctors.
In return for treatment he tended the doctors garden.

The hermit again became very ill and the citizens of Griffith collected money
and sent him back to his home country in Italy where 3 months later he died.

The Historic Hydro Motor Inn was constructed in 1919 and is now restored to its former condition. Initially built as an accommodation house for senior
and administrative personnel in the development of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, it became a licensed hotel in 1924 when prohibition in the M.I.A. was
repelled. In 1978 the hotel passed into private ownership and restoration to its former glory commenced.

The building is 'listed' by the National Trust.

Experience 10 Thousand Hectares of Australian bushland. Ingalba State Forest is a quiet and secluded area of open dry sclerophyll forest and woodland which has a range of native flora and fauna, including the mallee fowl. It is about 10kms west of Temora on both sides of the road to Ariah Park.

The John Lake Centre features an aquarium with 'Percy' the 50 pound Murray Cod.

The theatrette presents a video on biologist John Lake who pioneered research into endangered species of the Murray/Murrumbidgee/Darling River.

Have a close encounter with native and endangered species of the Murray Darling river system. View the four varieties bred at the Centre as well as many other species and interesting locals such "Agro" the mighty Murray Cod, the endangered trout cod, and the Murray Cray, with its gigantic nippers.

The Inland Fisheries Research Station carries out important research into fish species of the Murray-Murrumbidgee-Darling system.

Visitors can make the most of a trip to the station with a picnic on the beautiful lawns and garden areas, barbecues and toilets are available.

The Museum also has a number of items you cannot see anywhere else in Australia, for example, the only working steam driven accident crane. Another unique item is the Mail carriage - the internal arrangements meant mail could be sorted in transit! The Roundhouse is still actively engaged in its original purpose, while one half is a museum, the other still operates as a railway refit workshop.

At the Narrandera Koala Regeneration Reserve, volunteer spotters "Hawkeye" & Joe will help you see Koala in the wild and educate you in the gentle art of 'spotting'.

Lake Centenary is a mecca for water sports and is beautifully landscaped and maintained by Temora Shire Council making it a pleasant and peaceful venue for a quiet interlude with a picnic basket and some friends. Facilities at the Lake include, free barbecues, childrens play equipment, toilets, sheltered areas, parking and boat ramp.

The Lake Talbot look-out provides a scenic view of Lake Talbot, the main irrigation canal, and the surrounding nature reserve. Walking tracks commence from the lookout and continue around the lake. Lake Talbot itself is an artificial lake, located only 1.5 kilometres from the town centre, which is ideal for boating, canoeing, water skiing etc. The lake adjoins the Lake Talbot swimming complex and Lake Talbot Caravan Park.

Lake Talbot is the scene, from time to time, of the Australian and NSW skiing titles. Each January the NSW water ski association holds the zone 5 championships on the lake which is especially suitable for water skiing. The trailing willows break the turbulence caused by boat and skier.

A shady lawn-covered amphitheatre surrounds three large swimming pools and a toddlers pool. A water slide, rampage slide and children's playground as well a kiosk and coin operated barbecues add to the amenity of this oasis at the edge of Lake Talbot.

Lake Talbot is the premier swimming and recreational facility of the Riverina so be sure to come along and enjoy the fun from November through to March annually.

An original natural spring fed waterhole, which existed as part of North Yanko Station - one of the pastoral holdings owned by the late Sir Samuel McCaughey. The waterhole was used for sheep brought in for shearing at the shearing shed, then located in front of the present Powerhouse building.

In 1987, Leeton Shire Council undertook the project and transformed the area into a tranquil aquatic reserve, a haven for swans, geese, ducks and other native water birds.

Designed by a member of the McWilliam Clan; Glen Mc William, the Big Hanwood Barrel was completed in 1973 and built to the scale of a wine barrel,
complete with staves and hoops.

The big barrel head has a striking mural painted on the glass and outside the door is a bronze statue of JJ McWilliam a tribute from the company he
founded over one hundred years ago.

Visitors now have an exciting opportunity to taste their favourite McWilliam's premium wines in the context of fine food, with a food and wine matching
experience at McWilliam's Hanwood Estate Cellar Door.

The food and wine matching makes the cellar door experience a lot more interactive and enjoyable and shows visitors local wines and produce in a fun and

Clearly marked drives through well developed red gum forests along the Murrumbidgee River, including several back tracks to sandy beaches, fishing spots and picnic areas.

The NSW Forestry Commission has established interesting drives throughout the beautiful red gum forest areas. The drives are clearly marked and take in sandy beaches and other points of interest.

Brochures and maps of the forest drives are available from the Narrandera Visitor Information Centre.

Please note that area cannot be traversed during wet conditions, as roads are unsealed and also likely to be flooded.

This walking track is approximately 750 metres in length, passing through an ironbark and greybox community, an example of what was present in the district before farming activities changed the landscape. A Project of Landcare Cootamundra

Located off the Olympic Highway, 12kms south from Cootamundra.

These sculptures are a tribute to the districts wheat farming heritage. Best viewing is at night, when the lights range from emerald green to bleached gold.

Milestones Sculptures is located in Mackay Pak in Wallendbeen and Parker Street in Cootamundra and paying tribute to the significance of the wheat industry in the Cootamundra and Wallendbeen areas.

It is an area that has seen some of the nation's finest high quality award winning wheat crops.

The project grew out of a major community achievement that transformed the site using the "milestone" concept. The concept, which refers to the previous mileposts that were used to mark out distances between small villages and country towns in earlier days.

In summary hundred’s of people have been involved in the activities of the milestone sculpture project. The dedication and commitment of the youth and families in the district ensured the success of the milestone sculptures project.

The sculptures are made from cast concrete and use patterns that represent wheat stalks cut from compressed fibrous cement, painted in the soft colour of wheat. Each sculpture is topped with an acrylic panel inlaid with the motif of a huge head of wheat. Fibre optics have been used to light the sculptures making them visible from dusk until dawn. At night the colours of green and gold can be seen as they simulate the growth cycle and the subtle movement of a dense crop of wheat.

The committee and artist have been innovative and creative in utilising the latest technology and equipment to assist in creating the components of the structures. The inspiration for the artist came from the wonderful visual effects of the wind rippling across vast expanses of wheat. The magical effects of light and colour are orchestrated by computer and colour wheels.

The finest colonial mansion in the Riverina and South West New South Wales, Monte Cristo was built in 1884, and is faithfully restored and furnished in the high Victorian era circa 1840 to 1900.

The homestead features a wonderful collection of antiques, an extensive carriage collection, as well as a wheelwright's shop which manufactures all kinds of carriage wheels.

Classified as the “Most Haunted House in Australia”, visitors are dared to book for an evening ghost tour - they are extremely popular so you must book in advance.

They cater for bus tours, dinners and luncheons. Special functions can also be arranged in advance.

Natural bushland area and Murrumbidgee River. It is an ideal area for swimming with three natural beaches, and facilities for fishing and basic camping. A bushland area on the river banks features walking tracks and a koala regeneration centre, which is a reserve area for the breeding of koalas.

The museum is housed in the Historic Council Chambers building which was built in 1881. The Historic Council Chambers is host to a variety of travelling exhibitions.

The museum's second site is located on Willans Hill next to the Botanic Gardens. This site presents the stories of the people, places and events that have given Wagga Wagga its unique character. It includes the Wagga Wagga Sporting Hall of Fame and a number of outdoor buildings, printery, post office, pioneer hut, classroom and agricultural equipment.

Over 2000 dolls are on show, ranging over many types and periods of time making this a fun experience for mums and their daughters who are looking for something unique to see whilst they are in Narrandera. . The park includes a picnic area with facilities and amenities including electric barbecues, toilets and the Narrandera Tourist Information Centre.

The Tiger Moth Memorial is of the No. 8 Elementary Flying School.
In August 1940, an air school was established at Narrandera on the site of the present airport by the Royal Australian Air Force. The school was the No. 8 Elementary Flying Training School, where over the next five years during the World War II, 3818 student pilots commenced their elementary flying training on DH82 Tiger Moth Aircraft.

The memorial features a DH82 Tiger Moth Aircraft as used at the training school.

Original Art Gallery is a unique and colourful gallery, offering visitors to the Riverina a wide range of original Australian artwork.

The extensive range of art available to purchase, includes - Aboriginal art, paintings, landscapes, abstract art, pop art, Riverina photography, unique giftware and more.

The gallery now also includes coffee and biscotti for those hoping to stay a while and enjoy the gallery surroundings.

Located right next door is the Kidz Art Studio where children may learn to create their own masterpieces in children’s art classes, running after school hours and during school holidays.

The gallery and studio are run by artist and professional photographer Julie Perri, whose artwork and photography is on display in the gallery. Her artwork is greatly varied, exploring the wonderful colours of Australia and a unique collection of images taken in the Riverina.

Paleface Adios captured the imagination of a nation, the distinctive baldy-faced chestnut, the horse dubbed "The Temora Tornado"- the horse took Australia by storm. The great Palface earned 104 wins from an incredible 217 starts for the pacing machine that has made himself and Temora a household name. Paleface Adios is remembered in the form of a life-size monument of him with his driver, Col Pike, in Paleface Park.

This little museum situated in a century-old building was established in 1968 and holds some extremely important items. These include; a first-rate yesteryear Telecom equipment display, a set of silver ingots marking 1,000 years of monarchy, an extensive and valuable worldwide collection of shells. The celebrated scarlet coloured merino cloak worn by New South Wales Governor and wool pioneer John Macarthur, is also on display and is the only one of its kind in the world, made from the first bale of wool sent to England by the Macarthur family in 1816

Set in 18 hectares of natural bushland, this museum features 40 historic
buildings and hundreds of historical items from the early pioneering days
in the area. The museum highlights the influence Italians had on the
area. Barbecue and picnic facilities are available.

Morning and afternoon teas and luncheons can be arranged for coach groups.
The bushland atmosphere has been retained by careful placement of the
buildings to cause the least disturbance to the natural surroundings.

There is a 20-minute video telling the story of how the park was established.
A significant addition to the museum is the low-cost accommodation complex.
The buildings were originally the shearer's quarters on Warrawidgee Station.

The Red Dust and Paddy Melons Gallery is a volunteer run gallery in the main street of Hillston. Check out the fabulous works of the members of the Hillston Creative Arts Council, including paintings, sculptures and craft. The gallery is also the home base of the Dusty Quilters, who make 'Quilts for Keeps' that are distributed to children's hospitals in Sydney on completion

The art and craft is for sale, and highlights the beautiful flora, fauna and scenery of Hillston and surrounds.

The Gallery also hosts workshops throughout the year for both children and adults. These workshops are held the first Saturday of every month.

The Roxy in Leeton is an art deco building and was opened in 1930 as a cinema and a stage was added in 1933. The Roxy film screen is one of the largest roll-up mechanized screens in Australia measuring approximately 16 metres wide by 8 metres high.

The Roxy is one of a small number of two level cinemas in New South Wales, and has been classified by the National Trust. In its present role, is a multi-function centre combining concert, live theatre, films and community events with a capacity in excess of 800 seats. Films are screened on Friday and Saturday nights, with matinees during school holidays.

Tours of the Art Deco Theatre are available on request.

The award winning Coolamon RSL Memorial Museum is situated in the RSL Hall, Loughnan Street Coolamon. The museum houses an extensive collection of military items from Pre-Federation to the present day.

The museum project is an initiative of the Coolamon Sub Branch of the Returned and Services League with the aim of preserving for the Coolamon community, a collection which specifically preserves the local military history of the Coolamon District.
