The Anaconda Adventure Race at Forster; takes competitors through the natural wonders of the Great Lakes and coastline around Forster; offering two unique and equally spectacular adventure race courses on Saturday and Sunday.
Legs (Day One): Team Run (three kilometres), Ocean Swim (one point nine kilometres/500 metre run/500 metre swim), Ocean Paddle (13.8 kilometres), Mountain Bike (19 kilometres), Coastal/Trail Run (11 kilometres). Legs (Day Two): Ocean Swim (one point nine kilometres), Coastal/Trail Run (16 kilometres), Mountain Bike (30 kilometres), Lake Paddle (13 kilometres), Bridge/Beach Run ( three kilometres)
Teams and individuals can choose to do both days and gain glory in the Full Anaconda, or may complete just the Sunday course with the Anaconda Half. Choose your adventure and reap the rewards.
Bellingen Jazz and Blues Festival

The Bellingen Jazz and Blues Festival provides three days of live music designed to present a cross section of jazz and blues styles. They provide a program containing “something for everyone”.
Staged in Bellingen, with its pristine river and historic streetscape, the Festival presents around 35 performances in 13 venues. The venues included the Federal Hotel, the Memorial Hall, Meeting Place at the Council Chambers and the Bellingen Community Markets. The spread and diversity of these locations created variety and ensuring a vibrant, community atmosphere.
There is jazz on the pavement by the pub and in the park beside the council chambers, intimate jams in small cafés, a big band dance, cocktail party, and late night grooves in clubs. The hallmark event is on Sunday. ‘Jazz by the Riverside’ which brings thousands of people together to enjoy wonderful music and picnic on the banks of the Bellinger River.

Each year the event attracts a great number of anglers and is a highly regarded event on the circuit. The 2008 event attracted 51 boats and 212 anglers - this is close to being a record for the tournament. There were boats from Victoria, Queensland and from everywhere in between.

Ironman Australia Triathlon

There will be approximately 1,500 competitors, aged 18 - 75, competing from over 30 countries and from every State and Territory in Australia in the Ironman Australia Triathlon in Port Macquarie.
The race consists of a 3.8 kilometre swim, 180.2 kilometre bike ride and a 42.2 kilometre run. Competitors have 17 hours to finish the race.
The race begins with the swim leg and will start opposite the Sea Rescue Headquarters. The bike course is one of the most spectacular Ironman bike rides in the world with the cycle winding along beside the Pacific Ocean on the beautiful and undulating Pacific Drive. The three-lap course incorporates the City Centre and provides excellent viewing for spectators.
The marathon course takes competitors along the Hastings River foreshores and along beside the beaches and parts of Pacific Drive which combines rolling hills with beautiful scenery to provide excellent viewing for both competitors and spectators.

Wingham Beef Week is a series of Beef orientated activities held in Wingham and surrounding areas.
Activities include an Informal Dinner at Wingham Hotel to open Beef Week 2010. A barbecue will be provided and a guest speaker will attend to speak on important aspects of the beef industry. For catering purposes the committee would like to be informed as soon as possible if you will be attending.
