2009 Kedumba Drawing Award , Wentworth Falls, New South Wales
The Kedumba Drawing Award was first presented in 1990, and is now considered the premier event for drawing in Australia with a $20,000 acquisitive award for 24 invited artists.

The Kedumba Gallery displays the Kedumba Collection in the grounds of Blue Mountains Grammar School at Wentworth Falls, New South Wales.
Every year it is enhanced through works acquired from the Annual Kedumba Drawing Award and by donations and acquisitions approved by the Trustee.

The Gallery also exhibits part of the Kedumba Collection Monday to Friday from 11am to 4pm and at weekends by appointment. In November of every year, during the Kedumba Drawing Award, the gallery is open daily and admission is free.

The Kedumba Trust invites and welcomes friends, sponsors and benefactors to support the Kedumba Collection to grow and thus provide an important statement of the development of drawing through time.

Gypsy Concerts In The Caves with The Paganini Duo will be held every fourth Saturday of the month at 4.00pm.

Experience the Paganini Duo performing Hungarian Gypsy music underground in the Lucas Cave with violinist Gustaw Joseph Szelski and guitarist Georg Mertens.

Gustaw Szelski is of Polish/Hungarian background and was brought up on a diet of Gypsy music. His early music education however was strictly that of a Classical musician. He studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Georg Mertens is an international soloist and chamber musician residing in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. He was born in Aachen, Germany where he started cello lessons at the age of nine. He studied at the reputed Staatliche Hochschule fuer Musik in Freiburg, Germany majoring in cello and Classical guitar and has performed at concerts throughout Europe.

Chairs now available in the cave. Wine and cheese are offered in the Lounge from 6.30pm to 7.00pm on concert days.

Opera in the Caves! Literally.

The Underground Opera Company is pleased to announce their inaugural concert at the magnificent Jenolan Caves. Opera in the Caves is a collaboration of popular pieces from opera and light opera’s most famous productions.

These include Carmen, Madame Butterfly, The Barber of Seville, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and, of course, the immortal Nessun Dorma from Turandot.
Six Foot Track Marathon , Katoomba, New South Wales
The Six Foot Track is a 45 kilometre footpath stretching across the Blue Mountains from The Explorer's Marked Tree, near Katoomba to Jenolan Caves.
The marathon started in 1984 and follows the length of the entire footpath. It is Australia's fifth largest marathon and by far the largest 100 per cent off-road running event. The race is a fundraiser for the Rural Fire Service and Six Foot Track Heritage Trust.

Wild Endurance - Blue Mountains Trek , Katoomba, New South Wales
Wild Endurance - Blue Mountains Trek Tours and Attractions Wild Endurance is a spectacular and challenging 100 kilometre teams-only trail trek in the heart of the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, just two hours drive from Sydney.

The route passes through some of Australia's most iconic scenery, including the world famous Three Sisters and the stunning Jamison Valley. The event starts in the Megalong Valley and finishes in the historic town of Katoomba, with regular checkpoints along the route.

Raising funds and awareness for The Wilderness Society, this event is open to teams of four to six completing the full course or relaying the distance half-way through.
