Busselton is a popular town in Australia’s South West region. The town is known for its pretty bays and its 2 km-long jetty. The atmosphere is relaxed and makes the place an ideal destination for families during the holidays. Its Mediterranean climate with temperatures ranging from 11 to 22 degrees Celsius supports the town’s agricultural industries. The wet season falls on the months of May to September.
The Busselton Jetty, which is said to be the third longest wooden structure in the world, is one of the town’s main sites of interest. An underwater observatory and an interpretive centre can be found here. Other sites of interest include the Weld Hall, Wonnerup House, Augusta-Busselton Heritage Trail, and St. Mary’s Church of England. There are lots of events all throughout the year. Some of the most notable are the Southbound Music Festival which is held on January, The Busselton Jetty Swim, The Busselton Beach Festival, The Busselton Festival of Triathlon, and the Festival of Busselton.
