The Mansfield Castle is an imposing Victorian building set in three and a half acres of picturesque countryside with an award winning cuisine and magnificent oak paneling throughout. Most of the 19 sumptuous bedrooms have stunning views over the castle grounds the Moray Firth to the south and the Dornoch Firth to the northeast. The Morangie is a fine old Victorian mansion set on the northern outskirts of the Ancient and Royal Burgh of Tain approximately a 40-minute drive north of Inverness Airport. In one of Scotland's oldest burghs the inn makes an ideal base from which to tour Easter Ross. In the town itself Tain Through Time Museum is not far from the Morangie House Hotel. The renowned Glenmorangie Distillery is just a few minutes' drive from the hotel. A little further north across the firth lies the town of Dornoch with its noble cathedral. Further up the east coast at Golspie is Dunrobin Castle. The property's amenities include the Garden Restaurant Cousteau's Restaurant cocktail lounge (with 90 different single malts) and complimentary decanter of sherry and fresh fruit in every room to welcome guests on arrival. Built in 1903 by a local architect the inn has been extensively modernized and tastefully decorated to maintain its original character.
