Towering above George Street in the middle of the entertainment precinct of the city, sits Rydges World Square Hotel Sydney, with great access to the cinemas, Chinatown, and Darling Harbour.

While you're there

If the bed you sleep on matters a lot, then heed the words of guests who say the beds are not just comfortable, but ‘divine’. They are also fans of the big fluffy towels, big shower and bathtub, and rooms with ample storage space and sufficient lighting.

Visitors did note however that there is still street noise, even on the higher floors, and that rooms were not spotlessly clean, but certainly not dirty.

Service ranges from friendly, helpful and first-rate to frustrating and uninformed, though all travellers who had an issue said that management did take action quickly.

What to look out for

Some guests expected more extras for the price of this four and a half star hotel, such as parking and Wi-Fi included, or at least significantly discounted. Another comment was that not all rooms offer great views, and that there weren't many machines in the gym.

Some felt restaurant meals were overpriced, and that there was a limited choice for breakfast. However, underneath World Square is of the biggest food halls in Sydney, along with plenty of great restaurants to try out.
