If you’re after a hotel right by Hyde Park, close to shopping, entertainment and other major CBD attractions, the Park Regis City Centre Sydney is seen as a suitable option.

While you're there

Visitors said the standard of room cleanliness was reasonable, although the décor itself was described as a bit tired, and some of the windows were dirty (one of the difficulties faced by all CBD buildings). They would have liked more storage space and some found the bathrooms a bit awkward and small, with a hard-to-use hot water and low-pressure shower.

Guests said they felt safe and security is sufficient. The general feeling was that the staff are efficient, courteous and quick to take care of even minor complaints, such as the hot water problems mentioned above.

What to look out for

The most common complaint the lack of eating establishment on the premises, though lots did mention that there were plenty of reasonable options nearby. The room temperatures can't be controlled from in the room so it can also get a bit noisy —especially on busy Saturday nights—if you decide to open your window for some fresh air.

In the rooms, guests observed the minimal storage space and found the bathrooms to be awkward and small, with erratic, hard-to-use hot water and low-pressure shower.

Most felt that this is a hotel most suitable for singles or couple looking for something central and well priced, but who don’t mind the smaller space.
