Restored in 1987 the inn still retains the character of bygone years with guest comfort paramount. The inn is situated in the middle of delightful countryside with wonderful views of the encompassing area. Neighbouring the GL. Rye Kro a once frequented destination for pilgrims is the old monastery ruins which the Tower of St. Sorens at Rye-a-campanile rises. Standing separate from the body of the church at its east end and holy springs.
