How good is that !! An award winning timber pole home in the heart of the Wet Tropics where the rainforest meets the beach. We are just 1.5 kms from the beach, in beautiful World Heritage rainforest. Guest accommodation is separate to the main house. Each unit is fully ensuite with its own private verandah overlooking the lush tropical gardens. Great big shower and wonderful fluffy towels (not those horrible thin ones). We have a magnificent waterfall swimming pool - probably the best in Mission Beach - with beach entry. Breakfast is included in the rate, as are complimentary drinks - tea, coffee, soft drinks and beer (YES Beer !!) What a bargain!! A large guest lounge with TV, DVD player, games, library, tour desk and magic fridge makes your stay here all the more enjoyable. And to top it all we have daily visits from a cassowary - how about that folks !! Lots of peace and tranquility here at the lodge - great for relaxing. But if you fancy something energetic then you can do scuba diving, sky diving, white water rafting, kayaking and fishing. Cycling can be done from the Lodge, and Internet access is also here for those of you who cannot bear to be away from the computer. And you can do your washing here - what more could you want ?? OK, a nice cup of tea on arrival, with biscuits .. Yea, no worries. The Lodge is NOT suitable for children under the age of ten. Hotel Facilities How to get to Licuala Lodge Mission Beach From Cairns Travel South along the Bruce Highway, it is a 2 hour drive. After an hour you arrive at Innisfail. Keep on the Highway - there is a right turn to be made as you leave Innisfail (signposted Tully) in order to stay on the highway. After about 40 minutes or so, you should come across the township of El Arish, and there is a left turn for Mission Beach. Follow the road and you pass Clump Mountain on your left, then there is a small retail estate on the right. Immediately after the shops take a right About 1 km on the right is Mission Circle. If you get as far as the Woolworths roundabout, then you have gone too far !! From Townsville A 2.5 hour drive North on the Bruce Highway. Just after the town of Tully there is a right turn for Mission Beach. Follow that road for approx 22 kms. You will come to a roundabout and Woolworths (on the right). Head straight on, and Mission Circle is the third left after the roundabout - about 1 km. Children The Lodge is NOT suitable for children under the age of ten. Car Parking All car parking is undercover, beneath the guest accommodation
