Address 50 Gully Road Fentonbury Tasmania Australia 7140 Hobart Australia Hotel Description A short 1 hour drive from Hobart, Hamlet Downs is a picturesque Bed and Breakfast or self-contained facility situated in the picturesque Derwent Valley. We are close to Russell Falls and Mt Field National Park. Maydena, Lake Pedder and the Styx valley are also nearby. Cottage gardens intermingle with natives that surround the cottage. There is a 1.5 km walking track along our creek and ponds where our platypus, bird life and other wildlife are often seen. Hamlet Downs offers guests a wonderful environment with four guest bedrooms with views to the gardens. The Self Contained facility comprises all the bedrooms except the King so if any of those 3 rooms are booked the others are closed to ensure privacy. The King room is a separate unit. Cot subject to availability Coffee and tea making facilities, minibar, laundry, hairdryers, radios, CD player are also provided. Light provisions or a fully cooked breakfast is available at extra cost as well as dinner. The dinner menu ranges from light meals to a 3 course banquet. For something completely different, try our Greek dishes or better still have a Greek Feast with 3 courses of delicious authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Minimum of 2 persons and 24 hours notice required to prepare these special dishes. We use our own home-grown seasonal produce when available.
