PETS and ANIMALS by arrangement with manager only (if you are found to have animals on the property without the consent of management, you will be asked to leave thus forfeiting your room and your tariff.) Gore is known for its Brown Trout fishing and country music. Walk amoungst the beautiful Gardens and parks in the district and play golf at the local Golf course in quiet serene setting. Hokonui Museum and art gallery are worth a visit. Visit in February for the Hokinui Moonshiners festival or visit in June for the "Gold Guitar Awards" Being located in the centre of the lower part of the south island, Gore is a fabulous place to make your base, being close to Bluff, Te Anau, Milford Sounds, Queenstown and the famous Catlins coast.
