158 Ferny Avenue Surfers Paradise Gold Coast Australia (Show map)
Enclosed by the vast oceans and the panoramic view of the Gold Coast hinterlands, the Marriott Surfers Paradise Resort and Spa awaits every traveller who comes to visit for business or leisure. It is a member of the Marriott line of the hotels known worldwide and lives up to its standards of class, utmost comfort, and superior customer service.
Guests found the hotel staff super helpful and professional. Rooms, especially on the upper floors, were given two thumbs up, and the international visitors just couldn’t get enough of the breathtaking views. Families loved the saltwater lagoon. While the kids enjoyed watching the fish while swimming, the adults found it a good starting point for learning how to snorkel. Rooms were reportedly clean, the beds were extra comfortable, and most of the guests gave high regard to the housekeeping team. Parking was easy and accessible, unless it was a busy day and understandably full-packed. Food was also fabulous, particularly at the Benihana. Some guests complained about dysfunctional door knobs, not enough pressure from the shower, and dated furniture and rooms. The hotel has just undergone refurbishments late last year and has further improved its facilities and services. Certainly, management would be glad to hear feedback from its guests and would discuss among their superiors to do something about these issues, which are of course, important, no matter how small. Some travellers wished the hotel was a little closer to the shopping district, although public transport is easily accessible right in front of the hotel.
Fresh from a multi-million dollar extensive refurbishment, the Marriott Surfers Paradise Resort and Spa welcomes its guests with its 299 luxurious rooms, including 30 upscale suites, all built in modern architecture and fully equipped to provide convenience and pure relaxation in style. The outside surrounds are as stylish as the hotel interior, with Gold Coast’s only saltwater lagoon, where guests can enjoy swimming or snorkelling with the different schools of fish. Occupying one floor exclusively is the Latouff Hair and Day Spa, where services include spa treatments, hair management, and a state of the art gymnasium. There is also a chlorinated pool and a tennis court within the hotel premises.
Want to try one of the best Japanese cuisines in the country? Dine at Benihana and get a taste of sumptuous Japanese delicacies prepared by teppanyaki chefs. If you love seafood and the local produce, then visit Critique, the hotel’s newest restaurant. For more informal dining and drinks, the lobby lounge and the pool bar offer light meals and drinks while providing a view of the saltwater lagoon.
While you’re there, take a walk to the Surfers Beach, which is about a kilometre away, and enjoy fun-filled water activities such as snorkelling, skiing, kayaking, and scuba diving. The Bungy Australia, Flycoaster, Infinity Gold Coast, Seabreeze Sports, and Jet Boat Extreme are nearby and are also worth your visit during your stay.
If you have a little extra, book for the Elandra club or the upper floor rooms with access to the lounge. Otherwise, you could also be a Marriott Gold Class member. You’ll really get what you paid for.
