International visitors had excellent things to say about the hotel service and facilities. Courtesy and professionalism shown by the staff was very much appreciated and dining was highly recommended. Business travellers and guests who had the knack for the slots loved the location of the hotel, being close to the Sea World, Surfers Paradise Beach, Pacific Fair, and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre at the same time. Most of the guests were satisfied with their rooms and said that these were clean and comfortable, especially the pillows which were “extra soft”. For some, however, the rooms needed some updating, as they experienced dripping water from the ceiling and dysfunctional external doors to the terrace. Management apologised for the inconvenience and quickly sent someone to fix the problems, and these were addressed accordingly. Guests also commented that the lobby was “quite dated”, and they will be happy to know that according to the hotel manager, about $1 million was agreed to be used for renovations on the lobby and atrium and some of the restaurants and these renovation will continue until April of this year to further maintain or improve the hotel’s service and standards.
