Mildura is the largest town in Sunraysia, Northern Victoria. It is home to around 57,000 people and is surrounded by fruit-growing orchards and vineyards. Because of its abundant wine industry and quality produce such as grapes, citrus fruits, almonds, and avocados, Mildura has a good reputation for both food and wine. It draws a good number of backpackers each year because of the availability of farm work. There are regular flights to Midlura from Melbourne and Adelaide.

Getting around the city is easy. Because the land is mostly flat, biking is ideal and safe. Going to some nearby towns is not too much of an ordeal either because tourists and locals can take buses or rent cars. Local attractions include the Murray River, Apex Park, Perry Sandhills, Lock 11, and Murray Sunset National Park. Some wineries such as Oak Valley Estate, and Trentham Estate also welcome visitors.
