Built in 1997 the Lodge is a beautiful modern facility that is spotlessly clean and very comfortable perfect for friends families groups and individuals. In the summer one is only a short walk or free shuttle ride to the beautiful historic district of Crested Butte. Here in downtown Crested Butte one will find wonderful shops beautiful architecture amazing views and great people. With beautiful views of Mt. Crested Butte the Crested Butte Lodge and Hostel are only a three-minute walk to the lifts. After a day of hiking or skiing guests can relax in the hot tub under the stars or soothe sore muscles in the sauna. Friendly staff is available to help guests with travel plans including where to eat -if your not cooking in what side of the mountain to ski first or what Mt. Bike trail should not be missed.

One of the premier Crested Butte Bed and Breakfast inns is the Purple Mountain Lodge. Originally a mining office built in 1928 this building became a Bed and Breakfast in the 1970s when it was rolled down into town on logs. It has a great in-town location only two blocks from the unique shops and wonderful restaurants on Elk Avenue.The inn was last renovated in the fall of 2003 with the addition of a Spa Room offering in-house massages and a steam shower. Come in from an action packed day to loosen up in the outdoor hot tub with a mountain view before going in to have a relaxing massage. A home-cooked breakfast awaits guests in the morning.The quaint inn is one of the oldest Crested Butte Bed and Breakfast inns. There are five unique guest rooms all with second-story mountain views TVs and VCRs ceiling fans wireless web access robes and private baths. Guests also have access to a refrigerator microwave filtered drinking water and coffeemaker for their personal use.Children 11 years and under are not recommended at this property. Children 12 years and older do not stay free at this location.
