Built in 1763 by John Rutledge a signer of the US Constitution the John Rutledge House Inn is located approximately three blocks from Charleston?s historic market area. It iss also two miles from downtown Charleston and the city marina five miles from Patriots Point 12 miles from Folly Beach and 15 miles from Sullivan?s Island. The antebellum home is now an elegant bed-and-breakfast where guests can enjoy afternoon tea evening turndown with chocolates morning pastry delivery and wine and sherry in ballroom where patriots statesmen and presidents had met.
