The monastery, built between 1197 and 1209 at Lauro, a medieval small town in Avellino province, became soon a place of agricultural production very famous for the quality of its products, and a place of spiritual refuge. In 1620 it became an Abbey and in the following century it had a new splendour thanks to a complete remake. By the laws of 1808 about the confiscation of Church property, the "Certosa" is transformed in a magnificent country residence. Today a careful remaking has given it new life transforming it in an ideal place for a pleasent stay and weekends into full contact with nature. The Hotel has 45 rooms, 3 typical restaurant, a swimming pool, gym and all the facilities for an unforgettable stay.
