About Alice Springs, Northern Territory
Alice Springs, or ‘The Alice’ is the third largest town in Australia’s Northern Territory, and located in almost the exact centre of Australia. The climate in ‘Central Australia’ can have extreme variations. Temperatures can be below zeroC overnight during Winter (June to August) and reach over 40C during the day in Summer (December to February). The best time to visit Alice Springs is during the Spring or Autumn months when the evenings are mild and daily temperatures average mid 20C.

Visit historical buildings such as the Overland Telegraph Station, the Royal Flying Doctors Visitors Centre or the School of the Air where children from remote outback communities are educated by radio and modern satellite broadband. Attend unusual events such as the Camel Cup (July) or the Henley-On-Todd Regatta (a dry river boat regatta held in August each year).
